About the Author
Mandeep Chana is a technology executive whose career spans telecoms, financial services, global media, enterprise SaaS, public sector, and blockchain/web3 - building and running technology functions from the ground up, stepping into ones already stretched too thin, and consulting as an outside advisor where needed. He has led global IT teams through growth, consolidation, and crisis, built business systems and service models that scale across regions, and carried responsibility for security, risk, and governance programmes throughout.
His work has consistently centred on carve-outs and tech mergers - standing up independent technology estates during entity separations, and integrating them during acquisitions. He has also built and shipped a commercial SaaS product from concept to paying customers, giving him builder as well as operator experience. Building and leading the teams behind that work is its own discipline: hiring, structuring, and developing IT organisations suited to the business they serve, not the org chart that came before.
He writes about his journey and how to leverage emerging technology - AI chief among it - for competitive advantage, and increasingly advises technology leaders navigating their own periods of change.
